EU Ambassador travels through São Paulo on an agenda focused on expanding business with Brazil

The European Union Ambassador to Brazil, Francisco André, concluded a series of engagements in the city of São Paulo this week, aimed at deepening ties between the European bloc and the country on institutional and business fronts. The schedule brought together conversations with leaders of the productive sector, trade associations, and consular representatives based in the capital of São Paulo, signaling European interest in consolidating permanent channels of dialogue with Brazil’s main economic hubs.

Among the highest-profile meetings was the gathering with Paulo Skaf, president of the Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo, which discussed the entity’s role as a representative for the São Paulo industrial sector in light of the commercial opportunities that may open with the entry into force of the European Union-Mercosur Agreement. The ambassador was also present at the Eurocamaras ESG 2026 Connection Forum, an occasion where European and Brazilian entrepreneurs debated sustainability practices and ways to strengthen bilateral economic ties, in addition to participating in an additional Eurocamaras meeting focused on articulating new business and investments between both sides of the Atlantic.
