ApexBrasil study identifies 407 commercial opportunities for Brazilian exporters in the French market

The Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil) presented this Tuesday, September 22, 2026, a study on the trade and investment profile between Brazil and France, in which it identifies 407 business niches aimed at the insertion of Brazilian companies into the second-largest economy in the European Union. The document evaluates the potential for commercial expansion in a market that absorbed approximately US$ 799 billion in external purchases throughout 2025 and details the paths to expand the bilateral trade flow, which totaled US$ 10.3 billion in the same year, of which US$ 3.1 billion corresponded to Brazilian sales destined for French territory.

The ApexBrasil survey covers sectors such as the agri-food complex, transport machinery and equipment, chemical products, mineral fuels, and manufactured goods of higher technological sophistication. According to the agency, the provisional application of the agreement between Mercosur and the European Union, which began on May 1, 2026, has already produced concrete effects on the trade flow, with a 17.9% increase in Brazilian exports to France between May and August of this year, compared to the same period of the previous year. The study also positions France as the third-largest source of foreign direct investments in Brazil, with an accumulated stock of US$ 80.3 billion.
