ApexBrasil and CNI seal partnership to intensify Brazilian industrial presence in Europe and other markets

The Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil) and the National Confederation of Industry (CNI) formalized, on September 16, 2026, a new cooperation agreement aimed at the internationalization of the national productive sector. The agreement, with a total contribution of R$ 7.103 million divided equally between the two institutions, will be valid for twelve months and covers assistance to 400 companies through eight initiatives distributed across Latin America and the Caribbean, Asia, Africa, and Europe. The signing ceremony took place at CNI’s headquarters in Brasília, and was attended by the Minister of Development, Industry, Trade and Services (MDIC), Márcio Elias Rosa, who also witnessed the formalization of a technical cooperation agreement between MDIC and CNI.

The understanding adds to the Export Diversification Plan and reflects the strategy to reduce dependence on the North American market in light of the additional tariffs imposed by the United States on Brazilian products. The initiative combines ApexBrasil’s expertise in market intelligence and trade promotion with the institutional capillarity of the Brazilian Network of International Business Centers (Rede CIN), present in the industrial federations of the 26 states and the Federal District. The agreement is structured around four thematic axes, including the utilization of trade agreements, the bioeconomy, digital transformation, and female participation in industry, with actions ranging from international missions to business roundtables focused on Amazonian products.
