Productive Connections Program expands access for Brazilian exporters to the European market
The Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil) has initiated a series of in-person meetings aimed at training national business leaders on the commercial opportunities arising from the agreement signed between Mercosur and the European Union. Named Productive Connections, the initiative has already visited five Brazilian cities since June, including São Paulo, Rio Branco, Fortaleza, Manaus, and Itajaí, and its central purpose is to increase the volume of Brazilian sales destined for the European continent.
Each stage of the program is tailored according to the productive profile of the host region, in order to align local economic vocations with the demands identified in the European market. Business leaders, government representatives, internationalization experts, and sector entities participate in the meetings, gathering to discuss export strategies and the practical effects of the treaty on different productive segments. According to Laudemir Müller, president of ApexBrasil, the agency’s survey mapped 543 immediate export opportunities, with the potential to add around US$ 1 billion to sales to the European bloc over the next twelve months.
