The publication analyzes Brazil’s strategic alliances, and you can access the full edition at this link: https://cebri.org/revista/br/edicao/16/out-dez-2025.

Highlight | Interview with Marian Schuegraf, Ambassador of the European Union to Brazil

A significant contribution to this edition is the interview with Marian Schuegraf, the EU Ambassador to Brazil. Conducted in March 2026 for the CEBRI-Journal, the conversation addresses strategic themes on the bi-regional agenda.

In the interview, Schuegraf defends the Mercosur-EU Agreement as a pillar of multilateralism and reaffirms that democracy, human rights, and climate goals are genuine conditions for European partnerships. She highlights joint actions in the green and digital transitions, such as support for the “Selo Verde” (Green Seal) and the expansion of the BELLA submarine cable. To address concerns regarding regulatory barriers, Schuegraf cites a billion-euro cooperation package focused on supporting the adaptation of companies within Mercosur. The ambassador concludes by reinforcing the deep cultural ties between Brazil and the EU in the construction of a balanced global order.
