Exporta Mais Brasil opens the European Market for Amazonian Products
Europe has become one of the main destinations for Amazonian industries following recent US tariff sanctions. A clear example of this shift is the company Castanhas Ouro Verde, from Rondônia, which is seeking to redirect its operations to the European Union after losing ground in the United States, as reported by its representative, Lucas Santana.
Seeking to facilitate this process, ApexBrasil organized “Exporta Mais Brasil” in Manaus, an event aimed at connecting companies that produce traditional foods from the region—such as açaí, coffee, Brazil nuts, processed fruits, Amazonian fish, and other animal proteins—with foreign buyers.
According to Vincent Furlan, an ApexBrasil specialist in Brussels, the successful integration between these markets is driven by superfoods and the strong sustainability standards of Amazonian producers, which are highly sought after by European consumers.
