This Brazil–European Union Fact Sheet presents a concise and up-to-date overview of the economic and trade relationship between Brazil and the European Union, bringing together key data on trade flows, main partners, the composition of trade exchanges, and the strategic relevance of the bilateral partnership.
The publication was prepared in the context of the signing of the EU–Mercosur Agreement, on January 17, with the objective of providing a clear and accessible information base for policymakers, the private sector, academia, and the interested public.
In addition to the data overview, the Fact Sheet is complemented by analyses and commentaries from CEBRI Counselors and Senior Fellows, who examine the political, economic, and strategic implications of the agreement, as well as its possible medium- and long-term impacts on Brazil, the European Union, and the international system.
The publication therefore seeks to contribute to an informed debate on the agreement and on the future of the Brazil–EU partnership.
