This Brazil–European Union Fact Sheet presents a concise and up-to-date overview of the economic and trade relations between Brazil and the European Union, bringing together key data on trade flows, main partners, the composition of the trade agenda, and the strategic relevance of the bilateral relationship.
The publication was prepared in the context of the signing of the EU–Mercosur Agreement, on January 17, with the objective of providing a clear and accessible informational basis for policymakers, the private sector, academia, and the interested public.
In addition to the data survey, the Fact Sheet is complemented by analyses and commentaries from CEBRI Counselors and Senior Fellows, who explore the political, economic, and strategic implications of the agreement, as well as its possible medium- and long-term impacts for Brazil, the European Union, and the international system.
The publication therefore seeks to contribute to a qualified debate on the agreement and on the future of the Brazil–EU partnership.
